First Grade...no more babies!

Well the kids are back at school, we have new tenants at 6 sheds and my hours have been cut from my part time job.

Some news is good and some news is bad!

Now I am trying to find another part time job to replenish the bank account & to keep me busy.

Number 3 started in first grade and I was expecting myself to have a total crying & emotional fit as I loosened my apron strings to throw the last child into the clutches of "The System."

However, when I saw the queue of parents clutching their children's hands & waiting in a huge line to go into school & that there was no where to park...the police were even present. I asked number 2 to walk him to his classroom & dropped them off with a huge kiss & a wave.

I know you all think that I am the worst mother of the world, seriously I'm not.

Not until they got home & number 3 said he went to his classroom all alone as he wanted to. The independence of the third child.

Of course I was riddled with guilt that he went to full time school all on his own and that the teacher thinks that I am an uncaring mother. I'll soon fix that & deliver some spare snacks & volunteer in the classroom to get back into favour!

Daffodilly, she was probably very glad that he wasn't clinging to you crying and pleased that he was ready to be there!

Glad you have tenants, and hope you find some more work soon!

It's funny, my post today is a 'Riddled with Guilt' one too....my US friends here think that guilt is solely a British affliction!

I'm a Brit in the US too and am stopping by to say hello :)I found you over at Expat Mum's.

Do you miss the tea? I love it here, but miss a proper cup of tea and Cadbury's chocolate like you wouldn't believe.

I'll be back!
